The Maltings announce the immediate availability of various newly refurbished office units.

PRESTIGIOUS NEW TENANT FOR THE MALTINGS

Cardiff office space provider, The Maltings, is delighted to welcome the South Wales Chamber of Commerce – into the fold.

As of the 19th January, the landmark Grade II listed building on the periphery of the city centre became home to the Cardiff office of the newly established Chamber, which was formed in September 2008 after accredited British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) member – ngb2b – was given the go-ahead to include the capital within its territory.

As the first step in re-establishing the Chamber’s presence in Cardiff, the decision to open a new office came after a thorough consultation with businesses in the area who all stressed the need for the Chamber to have a local presence.

David Russ, managing director of the South Wales Chamber of Commerce, said:
“Throughout our consultation with Cardiff businesses one thing was made very clear; that companies operating in and around the capital expect a local Chamber to have a local presence. By establishing an office in Cardiff we are galvanising our commitment to our members and the wider business community, and ensuring that companies in Cardiff have direct access to all Chamber services.”

“The Maltings is an ideal location for us as we will be able to provide business-critical support to our members right on their doorstep.”

Initially manned by Jon Hollins, acting head of Chamber in Cardiff, and Lesley Lewis, international trade coordinator, the new office will provide a drop-in centre for the Chamber’s 750 members and valuable resources for new and growing businesses. Members will also benefit from hot-desking facilities, IT resources and meeting space.

In order for the Chamber to forge closer ties with its members and other Chambers across Wales, The Maltings benefits from being only minutes away from Cardiff city centre, Cardiff Bay and the M4/A48 corridor offering excellent access.
